If you do want to wash them, it is best to wash them carefully by hand with lukewarm water, max 20°. Machine wash only on a wool program. Only use a wool detergent to wash, no fabric softener.

In the beginning, the booties will fluff a lot, this is due to the friction of the feet against each other. It is not by wearing them 'a few' times that the fluff stabilizes, but by wearing the booties more often. The socks become much more beautiful the longer you wear them. The knit becomes smoother and more even. Do not remove the fluff at first, after wearing them for a while you can remove them. Pilling is something natural for merino wool.
